Can Yaman Films Romantic Thriller in Spain, Urges Fans to Show Respect as Rumors of a Secret Wedding to Sara Bluma Are Denied

Can Yaman is in Spain filming his first TV series on Iberian soil, El Labirinto de las Mariposas—a romantic thriller where love and betrayal intertwine. In the series, the Turkish star plays the lead: a secret agent fighting to clear his name, whose encounter with a stunning woman could put him in danger, or at the very least become his weakness. The show is directed by Alberto Ruiz Rojo, and the cast includes well-known Spanish actors such as María de Nati, Andrea Duro, Félix Gómez, Noa Rollón, Michelle Calvo, Leander Vyvey, Paco Tous, Marta Solaz, Víctor Clavijo, Antonio Gil, and Jorge Suquet.

Filming started about last month, and some of Yaman’s fans noticed a parallel—obviously a coincidental one—between the plot and the real-life love story the actor is currently living with Algerian-born DJ Sara Bluma. According to critics, the relationship with Bluma is damaging Yaman’s image and isolating him, slowing down his career. Yaman seems very invested in his new relationship—so much so that last summer he spoke about marriage and wanting to start a family with the DJ soon.

Sara Bluma’s Legal Issues

On the other hand, Sara Bluma is said to have recently reached an agreement with her ex partner Stefano Papa regarding custody of her five-year-old son, Tristan. And soon—according to reports—a criminal defamation trial is expected to take place, also initiated by Papa against his ex partner, accusing her of slander and defamation after she claimed on social media that she had suffered domestic abuse during their relationship. This is a situation that Can Yaman has reportedly stepped into personally, despite being advised to keep a low profile—supporting his girlfriend by showing closeness, but avoiding being drawn into court as a potential witness. According to claims, the actor said that Bluma is “his woman” and that he would do anything for her, even suggesting he would marry her immediately, in secret if necessary, and reveal the marriage only later.

The “Secret Wedding” RumorIn the meantime, rumors that a secret wedding had already taken place in Spain have reportedly been denied. The claim suggested that the exclusive had been sold to Hola, but when contacted, the outlet dismissed the story. So was it true—or simply a bluff meant to shock everyone later?

The latest reports did say the couple wants to get married, but not right away. First, according to the rumors, they want to have a celebration for exchanging promises. Either way, the truth should become clear once filming wraps.

Can’s Frustration With Fans

And speaking of filming, Can Yaman reportedly hasn’t appreciated how intrusive some fans have been during production. The actor’s popularity—and excitement about seeing him working on a Spanish set—has allegedly driven countless admirers to show up where filming is taking place. That’s understandable. What’s less so is that photos and videos from the set have been posted on social media.

One social media user responded to that behavior by saying:

“If you’re lucky enough to see him working, enjoy the moment. Take photos, record videos—but don’t post them. Keep them to yourselves, out of respect for the whole team, and especially for him. When the series comes out, if you really want to feed your ego, then go ahead!!”

Sometimes, too much hype can end up hurting a production—so much so that the set could be closed off to the public, which would also be bad news for anyone hoping to see Yaman up close.
