Now, Hande Erçel’s sister Gamze Erçel has spoken about the new relationship for the first time to Gazetemagazin.

After her breakup with Hakan Sabancı, Hande Erçel traveled to London—and soon after, rumors started that she was romantically involved with Onur Güvenatam.

According to the claim, Hande Erçel and Onur Güvenatam grew closer in London. While Erçel was spending time there for English lessons and work-related plans, she reportedly ran into Güvenatam—founder and producer of OGM Pictures—by coincidence in an airport lounge. The two allegedly struck up a conversation, later joined a dinner with mutual friends, and were said to have stayed in touch from that day on.


Erçel had made waves after seemingly confirming the romance when reporters caught her at the airport. She said: “There’s actually nothing to talk about yet. If the time comes when it needs to be talked about, hopefully we’ll talk then. It’s very new—so new. Am I not supposed to get to know anyone? Everyone should wait before judging. These things are fate.”

Hande Erçel’s sister Gamze Erçel spoke to Umut Ünver from Gazetemagazin.

Responding to claims that Onur Güvenatam had commented under one of Gamze Erçel’s photos, she said, “As far as I know, he doesn’t use social media.” Gamze Erçel added that she hasn’t met Onur Güvenatam yet, and said about her sister Hande Erçel, “She looks happy.”
