Özay commented on Arduç’s recent roles with Hande Erçel—as well as his projects opposite Tuba Büyüküstün and Elçin Sangu. When they asked, “Which co-star did you suit him with the most?” she replied:
"I liked all of his co-stars and thought they suited him well. With each of them, Barış became a different version of himself through their energy, and his happiness matters to me, too. I felt he got along best with Hande (Erçel). I think they were all really sweet."
Hinting that she could reunite on screen with her husband, Gupse Özay said, “I really want that. It’s been 14 years since we last acted together. Barış Arduç is a very funny person, and I feel like the timing is getting closer. I can’t say anything right now, but I have a lot of fun with him. We’d love to share that with the audience too.”
Özay also attended the premiere of the play Hırsızlar and, speaking about their daughter Jan Asya, said:
“She’s in love with her dad, and I can’t accept it. If he buys her one gift, I buy her two.”
