Bold Declaration from Hafsanur Sancaktutan: Quitting Is Not an Option

Currently starring alongside names like Özgü Namal, Mehmet Günsür, and Beril Pozam in the series Kıskanmak, actress Hafsanur Sancaktutan made striking statements regarding her career and private life.

Hafsanur Sancaktutan was spotted by the press in Bebek last week. Sancaktutan spoke about her colleague Özgü Namal, who left acting years ago after falling in love and getting married.

HER HUSBAND HAD SUFFERED A HEART ATTACK

Özgü Namal married Ahmet Serdar Oral in 2014 and subsequently retired from acting. The couple welcomed a baby in 2015, naming their son Nefes. Their daughter, whom they named Elem Su, was born in 2016.

Serdar Oral passed away in 2020 following a heart attack. Namal returned to acting in 2023.

"I WOULDN'T EVEN DO IT FOR MY CHILD"

When asked, "Would you quit acting if you fell in love?" Sancaktutan replied:

"I love Özgü Namal very much. She is a magnificent woman. I can't comment on her situation, but if it were me, I wouldn't quit. He met me as an actress, so he shouldn't have a say in whether I continue.

I wouldn't even do this for my child. I would continue my work without giving up, and by doing so, show them not to give up either. We are women who work and create. We miss working.

Of course, when a child comes along, one might take a break for a while, but quitting acting is out of the question. The child can come to the set with me. I have friends who do this. I would be proud to do so."
