Before his highly anticipated appearance on Maria De Filippi’s C’è Posta per Te, Can Yaman sat down for an intimate interview with Witty TV, reflecting on personal anecdotes and defining moments from his past.
While a media storm was brewing regarding rumors of a drug-related arrest in Turkey—a situation the actor has since clarified by confirming no illegal substances were found—Can Yaman appeared on Canale 5 for the latest episode of C’è Posta per Te. This visit marks another chapter in his long-standing professional bond with host Maria De Filippi; Yaman has often credited her as one of the first people in the Italian industry to truly believe in his potential.
Before taking the stage for a surprise segment that moved the audience to tears, Yaman participated in an emotional interview now available on the Witty streaming platform. Presented with a series of significant photos from his life, the Turkish star shared never-before-heard details, starting with a picture of himself as a newborn.
Yaman jokingly admitted he was a "big baby" even before birth, recalling how his mother often complained about how much he moved in the womb. Despite his active start, he grew into a peaceful and disciplined child. "When I made a mistake, I listened and made sure not to repeat it," he noted.
The interview also touched on a formative adventure in Russia. Yaman revealed that his very first acting role was born out of necessity: he and a friend took a gig there simply to fund their travels and extend their stay after running out of money.
The conversation then shifted to his physical transformations, specifically for his role in Il Labirinto delle Farfalle, as he commented on a photo of him kissing a horse. The image dates back five years to when he first moved to Rome to begin training for the lead role in Sandokan. While the pandemic famously delayed the production, the project has finally reached Rai 1.
With his success in Italy firmly established, Yaman is now setting his sights on the United States and the United Kingdom. Recognizing these as challenging markets, the actor expressed his hope to win over international audiences and solidify his status as a truly global star.
