Can Yaman’s Drug Test Result Has Been Revealed

As part of an ongoing drug investigation led by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, blood and hair samples were taken from 21 suspects. Test results came back positive for 14 of them. Meanwhile, actor Can Yaman — who was detained during the investigation, later released, and then returned to Italy — tested negative.

A report was prepared by the Forensic Medicine Institute regarding the 21 suspects whose blood and hair samples were collected under the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office investigation.
14 People Tested Positive

According to the report, drugs were detected in the test results of 14 suspects. It was learned that the names included detained social media personality Bilal Hancı, actress Melis Sabah, and İbrahim Barut, the son of Nezih Barut (head of Abdi İbrahim).

Can Yaman’s Result Was Also Confirmed

In the same investigation, Can Yaman — who had been detained and then released — tested negative. Yaman traveled to Italy, where he lives, immediately after being released. In his first statement on social media, the 36-year-old actor reacted to the reports about him, writing:

“Dear Italian press… The Turkish press has always treated me badly — that’s nothing new. But please don’t copy and paste the news coming from across the Bosphorus. Do you really think I’d be walking around with drugs at a time when police are carrying out intense investigations and arresting many famous people? If it were true, I wouldn’t have been released so quickly and been able to return to Italy the next day.”

The Investigation

As part of the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, searches were conducted at nightclubs and at Bebek Hotel. Among the claims were that famous names were registered at the hotel under different names, went up to VIP sections on the upper floors in groups, and used drugs there. It was also alleged that customers entering the hotel were not searched and that there was no X-ray device.

In an earlier operation, 19 suspects — including Bebek Hotel owner Muzaffer Yıldırım — were arrested. In that same operation, Can Yaman and six others were taken into custody. Yaman was released after procedures at the police station. Among the other suspects referred to the courthouse, Ayşe Tarım, Ayşe Sağlam, and Ceren Alper were ordered arrested, while Burak Fahri Yön, Nilüfer Batur Tokgöz, and Selen Görgüzel were placed under judicial supervision.
