Tamara Falcó and Can Yaman shared an amusingly tense moment during a promotional event for El Turco, the actor’s latest series.
Can Yaman is currently in Spain to promote El Turco, the first Turkish series filmed in English, which has been available on Movistar Plus+ since January 15.
The actor, who spoke to the press upon his arrival and has been making headlines since Saturday following his detention in Istanbul over alleged drug possession, has been taking part in a series of promotional appearances for the show.
Among them was an event with Tamara Falcó that instantly caught the public’s attention. And, as the saying goes, they did not exactly get off on the right foot.
Eager to show off the culinary skills that once earned her victory on MasterChef Celebrity, Falcó invited Can Yaman to sample several dishes she had prepared herself during a Movistar Plus+ promotional segment in which she was also meant to interview him.
But the actor was not entirely impressed by the croquettes.
“Too much béchamel,” Can Yaman complained.
The remark clearly did not sit well with the daughter of Isabel Preysler, whose expression made it obvious she strongly disagreed with his verdict.
"Well, I studied French cuisine, and there, they use tons of béchamel," she shot back.
Then, visibly irritated but still playing to the moment, she added: “Let’s see if they’re going to take away my MasterChef title!”

“Listen, I came here to ask you about your series,” she finally said, using the line to steer the conversation back on track.
In the end, the brief clash between them amounted to nothing more than a funny anecdote, and the celebrity—who won the little showdown and succeeded in satisfying the actor’s appetite—went on to do her part in promoting the series.
