“Can Yaman received the award from the festival’s artistic director, Antonio Frascadore. Organizers praised him for ‘his talent, charisma and ability to transform the characters he portrays into international phenomena.’”
“During a festival talk, Can Yaman said that hosting the opening night of the Sanremo Music Festival, one of Italy’s most prestigious events, in February had been an important experience for him. The actor, who had never hosted before, said the opportunity gave him a major boost in confidence.”
“‘It wasn’t my profession, but I felt I had to give it a try. I was nervous at first. Once I saw that it was going well, I felt much more comfortable in front of the audience.’”
“Can Yaman also said that he inherited his work ethic and determination from his family. Describing his father as a role model, the actor said his generosity and strength had always inspired him, adding that he believes education and hard work are the keys to becoming strong.
During the conversation, Yaman—who has enjoyed a large and devoted fan base in Italy for years—was also asked, ‘Why do you think Italian audiences have formed such a strong connection with you?’ The actor responded modestly, saying:”
“I honestly don’t know why. I’ve been asked that question many times, but I still don’t have a clear answer. Perhaps it’s because I speak Italian, or maybe it has something to do with the way I connect with people. Saying, ‘They love me because of this,’ would feel arrogant. I think the audience is in the best position to answer that question.”
