In April, shaman Cheonsang Seonnyeo uploaded a video to her YouTube channel titled, “IU and Lee Jong-suk Breakup? Shaman Delivers Shocking Message That Their Four-Year Romance Is Over.
In the video, the shaman conducted a blind fortune reading after receiving no information other than IU and Lee Jong-suk’s dates of birth.
“The reading says that the bond between these two people has already been severed,” she said. “As I write down their Four Pillars, it keeps telling me that the connection has been cut.”
Questioning whether they were truly a couple of four years, she continued, “The reading says they broke up a long time ago. It seems to have been about two to two and a half years since the breakup. The woman is very loyal. She is strong-willed, almost like a female warrior, and has a refreshingly straightforward personality. She tries to get along with everyone and is not difficult or abrasive. She has lived a hard life, and because she grew up in difficult circumstances, she is extremely resilient.”

Netizens have since flocked to the shaman’s video predicting IU and Lee Jong-suk’s breakup, leaving comments acknowledging that her prediction appeared to have come true.
Meanwhile, IU and Lee Jong-suk publicly confirmed their relationship in 2022 but acknowledged their breakup on July 10. Representatives for both stars stated, “They have decided to remain on good terms as colleagues.”
